Belkin F8Z179ttP iPod TuneFM Review

Belkin F8Z179ttP iPod TuneFM
Average Reviews:

This item only works through my truck stereo. Every other stereo I own whether it be home stereo or car stereo, it is mostly static. It's as if I am off one number on the station I'm transmitting through and the music can barely be heard over the static. Also the range is awful. If it's not within 6 inches of the stereo, the static starts. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 Bluetooth Adapter for Home Stereo Review

Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 Bluetooth Adapter for Home Stereo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use this most of the time to connect the Bluetooth audio output from my iMac to the stereo, so that I can listen to internet radio using real speakers. The computer and the stereo are in different rooms, not even adjacent rooms, and the DC800 has no difficulty connecting to the Mac. Sound quality is very good; I have not had the problems that some other reviewers mentioned about sound quality.
The DC800 will do more, though. I can listen to whatever the stereo is playing, such as broadcast TV or a DVD, via Bluetooth headphones (I use Motorola BT820s). I can listen to my iPod through the stereo using a tiny Bluetooth iPod adapter (from Sony) that attaches via the iPod's docking connector. Now, it's easy to connect an iPod to a stereo by just plugging a stereo cable into the iPod's earphone jack, but then you have to leave the iPod near the stereo or use a long cable. With a Bluetooth connection, you can sit across the room, holding the iPod, and use the iPod's controls to select music. You'll also need some sort of remote for the stereo's volume control, because the volume setting on the iPod has no effect on the volume of the Bluetooth connection, at least using the Sony adapter.
The DC800 was easy to set up and easy to pair with the Bluetooth devices I have. It has no controls other than a power switch (I leave it on all the time) and a button to press for pairing. It just works.
One thing it WON'T do is two Bluetooth sessions at once. I can't play the computer's sound through the stereo via Bluetooth and at the same time listen to the stereo's output via Bluetooth headphones. There's no real need to do this (just pair the headphones directly with the computer), but I tried it to see if it works -- it doesn't.
I definitely recommend this product.

3.5mm Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Audio Dongle Adapter for CD/DVD Players MP3 MP4 PC PDAs iPod PSP any 3.5mm Jack Device Review

3.5mm Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Audio Dongle Adapter for CD/DVD Players MP3 MP4 PC PDAs iPod PSP any 3.5mm Jack Device

I bought two of these adapters. I recived them within a week and one worked as it should and the other did not. The return process is a bit of a hassle and I haven't yet recieved the replacement (however, it's only been a few days). The one that works operates well and has good range in open space. A major problem for me is that the battery seems to only last about 1.5 hours before the sound begins to drop out occaisionally. Overall the quality is mediocre and performance is reasonable for the price. I would probably advise a friend to spend a little more and try a different adapter.
Update the one that I could get to work has quit after 2 weeks. The one that did not work originally was sent back 2 weeks ago with no response from the manufacturer. Junk and Junk. Don't buy this get something else.

Old Version of Belkin F8Z492 Bluetooth Music Receiver for iPod and iPhone (Black) Review

Old Version of Belkin F8Z492 Bluetooth Music Receiver for iPod and iPhone (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This device works well. All those who say range is crap etc simply don't know or understand bluetooth application. If you use it with a laptop built-in bluetooth or a mobile phone, then range will be short because the laptop or mobile bluetooth is for connecting to devices in the immediate proximity to your work area. Thats why it's called PAN - Personal Area Network.
If you want to use it with increased distance, get a class I (class 1) USB dongle rated for 100 meters. You will not have any trouble.
I have validated it first hand - my HP laptop's built-in BT cuts off all the time if more then 2 meters (6 feet) away. My ipod and iphone work nicely to about 5 meters (15 feet). A cheap billionton class 1 dongle doesn't cut off even at 10 meters (30 feet) and a belkin class 1 usb dongle even works at 12 meters (36 feet) with one concrete wall between.
Another advantage I find useful is that it supports multiple device pairing, I just leave it powered and once you 'disconnect' one device you can 'connect' a different one.
The device is powered by a 5V/0.2A universal (100V-240V) adapter and remembers my paired devices even after disconnecting and reconnecting power.
Audio quality is as good as any other A2DP bluetooth audio device. They all use the SBC (Low Complexity Subband Codec) bluetooth protocol which limits bandwidth to 512 kbit/s - which allows to enjoy sounds similar to a 256 kbit/s stereo mp3 file.

Tunelink Bluetooth In-Car Audio Interface for Android Devices - 1001-01002D Review

Tunelink Bluetooth In-Car Audio Interface for Android Devices - 1001-01002D
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have used TuneLink Android with both the AUX out and the FM Transmitter, and I think both sound excellent. The AUX obviously is more clear and the way to go if you have an input in your car, but the FM is great as well. In response to the other reviews on here that talk about a "lisp" sound or distorted "S" sounds, all you have to do if this is happening is turn the phone's volume down a few clicks. The FM volume is a bit boosted when the phone is turned all the way up, and for loud material, I noticed the same thing until I turned it down. The little boost is great though when listening to audiobooks or spoken word that is quiter though...
All in all, great product!

BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Bluetooth Speakerphone Review

BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Bluetooth Speakerphone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes, I am a Blackberry Fan Boy and thus I trust pretty much everything they make..the exception being the STORM. :-) Research in Motion recently released this device and I figured it was time to get one and give it a shot. I was finally getting fed-up of something stuck in my ear all of the time so I could talk while on the road. I live in the Tri-State area, NY-NJ-CT and drive about 4 hours a day, therefore making Bluetooth a necessity.
And now for the review:
Box Includes: Visor Clip, Car Charger (Micro USB), and documentation in English, Spanish, and French.
**Quick Note: This device also utilizes Micro-USB as do most new smart phones in the market today. It is the new standard for cell phone chargers and thus will eliminate a lot of redundant chargers in our homes, offices, and cars.
Simply charge the device over night so that it is good and ready to go for your usage. Once charged, turn it on and pair it with your blackberry device...the instructions are quite simple. The pairing process complete, you are ready to clip this in your cars visor and begin the process of becoming a road warrior.
The Visor Mount actually gives you a few language options, as follows:
US English
UK English
French
Italian
German
Spanish
Mexican Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese, and
Chinese.
Why do you need all of these options? Simply because the Visor mount actually has a voice feedback system that provides you various bits of information. It will announce an incoming call (with the number, it will give you its status (power on, power off, pairing mode, etc).
The design of this device is slick as could be and the voice quality is quite impressive...even while driving about 65+ miles per hour on a highway with the air conditioning running...(yes its been hot in NY/NJ). I made quite a few test calls and specifically asked the party on the other line about noise and quality...they said, and I quote, "You are in a CAR?". The speaker is quite loud and can be adjusted to your liking with a volume rocker panel on the right hand side of the device.
This device works and it works quite perfectly.
Now for the most interesting feature, an FM Transmitter. Current Blackberry models all have the ability to accept micro-sd cards up to about 16gb. You are able to get free software to sync your iTunes libraries to your Blackberry...as long as the content is DRM free. Once the music is on the unit you can play it back through headphones and or Bluetooth devices. The Visor Clip takes this whole process one step further...yes it will play back the content on itself or allow you to press the FM button on the left hand side and select a frequency to tune in on your car stereo. Voila, your blackberry is now broadcasting through your car stereo. This also works for phone calls... AWESOME! Impressed yet...? There is more, when you live in a congested area it is sometimes hard to find a FM frequency that works well with transmitters (we all know they are not great). Simply press and hold the FM button on the Visor and it will scan and announce a free frequency it finds on FM...tune your radio and you are set to go.
Battery Life: I have been using it for 2 days with moderate call volume and some music for testing purposes. It is still working...it does have somewhat of a battery meter on it. But real life usage will vary for everyone and thus you will have to make your own decision about how long it works for you and when it needs a charge. It comes with a car charger..so its not too much of an issue. :-)
This is the best visor clip I have ever used and I am glad I decided to get one. 5/5 for a great product at a great price. My ear has been FREED at last!

Belkin TuneStage Bluetooth-Enabled Transmitter for iPod Review

Belkin TuneStage Bluetooth-Enabled Transmitter for iPod
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This transmitter and receiver is perfect for getting your ipod music onto your stereo system without wires or expensive components. The bluetooth signal works well for short range ( the 33 feet seems accurate as outside limit) and in my case transmits clearly through walls to another room. The only reservation is that the transmitter only works with the two pin headsets for ipods. That is, it works with my older Ipod photo but doesnt fit the newer Ipod video.
