I bought this product, got it working, then after a few uses, found that the no one could hear me when I used the headset. I contacted the seller to return it, and found their return policy ridiculous. I had to get some number from them before I returned it, then they wanted me to send the device I was using it with to them too. There was no way I was going to send them my Droid phone. So I sent it without it, and they replaced it for me. But I again only could use it once or twice before this time the device won't even turn on. I will not be buying this again or anything from this seller again.

Bracketron PHM-201-BL Mobile Device Vent Mount Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using this for over six months and I still think it's the best way to mount my phone in a vehicle. I've used it in an Escalade and an Accord, and it fit fine in both. The only problem is that over time the vent clips begin to sag, and that allows the whole thing to come off quite easily, sometimes even during a turn. As a solution I rotated the vent clips 180 degrees, so that they're mounted effectively upside down. Surprisingly, this has worked out quite well for me.
When using this with the Droid Incredible or other phone with a power cord that attaches to the side, you'll need to install the side supports upside down. There's a little plastic ridge on one of the side supports that is supposed to keep the device from slipping down, but there's enough friction from the side supports that it's not necessary. In this alternate configuration the phone hangs down a bit below the mount so that I can plug in my charger to the side. It works fine this way.

(More customer reviews)This was a very economical solution to playing my Motorola Droid's tunes through my car's audio system. Although I've only had it a week, it's worked well in both rural areas and urban. Installation could not be simpler. A mobile power supply cord for the device is included, however, if you wish to use this and charge your cell phone or music source at the same time, you'd need a car charger with an extra USB port (easy to find at Verizon's website) and an appropriate USB cord. Using my Droid, I could play mp3's from the Droid's microSD card, as well as music from Pandora, Last.FM, and a wide variety of internet streaming stations. Changing the FM channel on the device to coincide with an "empty" channel not used by a strong station in the area is easy, but of course should never be attempted while driving as it requires taking ones eyes off the road, at least until one gets used to the channel changing nobs on the device. This device is also supposed to have a mike to enable hands-free call taking via the car audio system, however, I have not tried this feature. Overall, a great buy, but again, I'm unable to evaluate long-term reliability as I've only had it a week.

(More customer reviews)This product gives me a high quality audio connection between my iPhone 3GS and Mazda3 factory stereo. It pairs easily from the first time and then I do not need to do anything to re-pair it. On short rides, I do not even take the phone out of my pocket - as soon as I start the engine, in few seconds music just starts playing where it stopped last time. Of course I use AUX connection to my stereo to avoid any potential static in the city - but I tried FM for a couple of days as well and it's very, very decent, volume is not much different from radio stations, and very clear sound if you take care to choose an empty frequency - as you should anyway. Also, I set FM Volume to LOW for most clear sound. I can listen to Alan Parson's and Pink Floyd over FM just fine, to my surprise. Dynamic range and frequency response seem to be excellent.(this section of review is updated after weekend testing). I had other FM transmitters before and the sound never was that clear.
So I'm keeping it no questions; and it offers sharing the connection with other people in my car - kids love that.
so, to be short, I am done with my car audio upgrades. Tunelink is not cheap but it's MUCH cheaper than to buy and install aftermarket ipod-enabled or bluetooth stereo; besides, it's portable. Oh yes, it charges the phone too, and even the cable is included.
Negatives? hmmm... well, it requires having an iPhone or touch.. though I've heard they have Droid version now.

(More customer reviews)I have used TuneLink Android with both the AUX out and the FM Transmitter, and I think both sound excellent. The AUX obviously is more clear and the way to go if you have an input in your car, but the FM is great as well. In response to the other reviews on here that talk about a "lisp" sound or distorted "S" sounds, all you have to do if this is happening is turn the phone's volume down a few clicks. The FM volume is a bit boosted when the phone is turned all the way up, and for loud material, I noticed the same thing until I turned it down. The little boost is great though when listening to audiobooks or spoken word that is quiter though...
All in all, great product!

(More customer reviews)This is an okay device. It just depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are mainly going to use this only for music and gps audio to your radio it works pretty well.
The connection over BT worked quick and well. The audio quality with music was pretty good. There was some static, feedback, and squealing but not that much (I would say it was much better than all of the low end fm transmitters i have used).
I really like the steering wheel control. The buttons worked but I do have to warn that the entire product does not look and feel very high quality. So you had to make sure you gave the both remotes good hard presses to get them to work. I love the fact that it actually did change volume, track, play/pause from the remote to the andriod phone. This is a huge plus so that you don't have to try to press it on the phone.
The ultimate downfall, and reason that I'm returning the device is because of the call quality. It sounded pretty good on my side. But the people on the other end said the sound was so bad they all refused to talk to me until I turned off the BT device!!!
This is unacceptable and useless. If you want to make any calls at highway speeds (unless your car has amazing sound minimizing) it is useless. But if you just want this to use for music, gps, streaming pandora, etc and you will change to your headset bt when you get a call (which will be a pain) then you will be okay.

(More customer reviews)I think I may have found the first hands free device for the BlackBerry... (I'm sure it's not the first, but I sure as heck cound't find one anywhere else). NY's finest love giving new "hands free" tickets for talking on your cell phone. I can finally remove this silly bluetooth headset and talks hands free with my BB!
Sound quality is pretty good compared to what I've heard on other FM transmitters. It's not as good as the quality I've heard with friends who have line-in plugs for their Iphones, but accptable nonetheless. No static, yet.
Setup is easy. Plug it in to the 12v outlet and tune the radio station to match what you set on the connector dock. My buddy had to give me a hand with the programming, but it wasn't really that hard. It would be nice if somehow there were less cables floating around the device! but I'm content with the fact it allows me to talk hands free and it even charges too! Maybe now I can try Pandora again? I tried it earlier, but it ate too much battery. I can follow up with the results soon.

We bought this because our car's tape deck is non-functional, and wanted to listen to the MP3 player while driving. We experience lots of static and interference from "real" radio stations, and trying to re-tune the transmitter every five minutes doesn't seem to solve the problem. Not satisfied with the transmitting power of this product, although it may work better in a more rural, less "radio-saturated" area.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for use in conjunction with the Motorola Droid OEM Window Mount due to the fact that Motorola neglected to include a FM transmitter with it's mount. My first impresions were the packaging looked a bit shoddy, but don't judge a book by it's cover.
Driving, I frequently use internet radio or listen to podcasts while using the navigation GPS built in to my Droid. I was frustrated with barely hearing the built in speakers. The FM transmitter & charger works simultaneously as advertised, despite the other reviewer's comment. I am pleased with the functionality, and simplicity and the transmission sounds clear. The only weak link I can tell is possibly the cord leading to the phone. It seems a bit flimsy. I have not had any problems with it so far so it's probably just cosmetic.
Overall if you own a Droid and want to charge it while streaming Pandora to you're FM car stereo I would highly recommend this product.
