(More customer reviews)Looking for a record player for the house -- for both casual listening and making mp3s of my collection. Everything I looked at took up TOO much room -- either on my desk when recording, or around my stereo system. Saw this and decided to give it a try. Glad I did.
Was really surprised by the build quality. Although the unit is plastic, it seems to be built around a sturdy metal frame -- the hinge mechanism is steel, not plastic as I expected. Controls are right on top, and the 45 rpm adapter is a sturdy rubber and stores in the unit. Tone arm is metal and plastic, with a nice diamond cartridge.
Lots of listening options -- headphone and audio out. Internal speaker is a bit tinny, but met my expectations given the small size of the unit. REALLY AWESOME -- FM transmitter! This worked great with my stereo. Just dialed in the radio station and listened wirelessly from about 15 feet. Works much better than the junk I bought for my in-car iPod use. Connection via USB to computer was simple, and Audacity software is included. Ripped vinyl sounded very good -- finally got my white album on the iPod!
Don't know how much I will use the battery power (6 AA), but I gave it a go. Left the unit on overnight, and it was still playing at the correct speed the next morning. So if you need to go portable, looks like you won't be disappointed.
Highly recommend this unit if you are in the market for a turntable.

(More customer reviews)I installed this unit in a 92 dodge 4X4 deisel pickup. The blue tooth works really well, my truck is fairly loud because of the deisel engine and the tires. While driving the called party can hear some background noise but my voice is loud and clear above it. I have called my own answer machine to check it. The radio and CD player work well, I also bought the HD radio adapter and it all sounds good. Like so many new things these days it has a lot of features, but navigating the menu while driving is nearly impossible. I set everything up in my driveway now I just drive and live with it. I wish they still had old fashion bass and treble nobs because making changes require navigating through the menus. I would say the inability to make simple adjustments easily is the biggest downfall. All in all I like the unit and would definitely recommend it.

(More customer reviews)The iFM remote worked great for about 4-5 days then the cord that connects to the ipod broke just like another customer reported. The thing now only plays the radio and thats it. No remote functions or recording. The cord seems to be made of really chep plastic. Then another thing is the iFM is just plain ugly to have attached to my jacket, because it has these two cords coming out one end of the controller looking like a jungle has attacked my ipod. Basically I wouldn't buy it again. Nice concept poor materials.

The set sure beats out what I could find for sale in the local stores for my iPod Touch 4G. I mainly wanted a protective cover and screen cover. Everything else was merely icing on the cake. I've not used all the gear, but even if something doesn't work, I'm ahead of the game. Plus I have spare covers and screen protectors.
I especially liked the idea of the headphone splitter, extra headphones and device to play on an FM channel in the car. The leather case with a belt clip is useful, too. The power related items (wall charger, auto charger, etc.), don't seem that robust and I didn't see any UL rating, but they seem okay on the surface. I may or may not use them, but personally wouldn't leave them in use, unattended.
Some of the things are pretty silly - like what is up with the mini screen wipe shaped like a shirt? Or the fish wrap cord minder?
One thing that would have made the set complete would have been an arm band style case.
It would have been helpful to have each item labeled as to what it was.
Overall, it is a good value for your money if it has enough items that you will use.

Only 2 minor issues: First is the buttons on the front of the player are not clear re: stop, play, ect. which in the dark while traveling is frustrating as you push in trial & error. The remote is direct line of sight only. The second is the wireless headsets. They have a button on each that scans 4 frequencies for the sound connection. It is very easy to push this button & lose the connection while simply putting the headsets on or if a child adjusts theirs without realizing it until you question why you can't hear the movie. You have to keep pushing the button til the sound comes back clear. Also there was interferace one time by a powerful radio station in the major town we were in. On the other hand, the volume control is not as easy to change, that's a good thing with kids, and can be set & left at an appropriate level.

(More customer reviews)After weeks of reading independent reviews, discussing various bluetooth items with my friends and searching for just the right bluetooth car kit I decided on the Jabra SP710, Cruiser. I ordered it on Amazon from a company called ccmaccessories. Delivery was quick, directions for use were clear and I attached it to my visor and couldn't wait to use it.
The first problem occurred when my brother said he couldn't understand me, since he could only hear every 3rd word and that word echoed a few times in his ear. Thinking I was in a bad signal area, I pulled my car over to turn off the Jabra and use my cell phone (Oregon has a new law banning the use of cell phones, you have to use a hands-free device). I noticed the phone had full bars, signifying that I was in a good area for excellent cell coverage. I called my brother back and it was so clear he thought I had gotten home and was using a land line. It wasn't the signal at all it was the Jabra. I thought maybe it was a faulty speaker, so I contacted the company and awaited their reply.
Since the Jabra SP710 Cruiser allows you to go through an empty FM frequency on your car radio I decided to try that. I had better luck with that feature, for talking on my cell phone, but now I couldn't listen to regular FM radio stations, use a CD or my Satellite radio. I tried to make the best of it, downloading songs onto my Blackberry 8330, but more problems cropped up. The Jabra has a lot of features, buttons to skip to the next track, or jump back to hear a song again. The buttons didn't work. To top it all off, now the start and end call features didn't work either.
I was lucky CCMACCESSORIES responded to my request with instructions on how to return my Jabra. I was out the shipping charges (both ways) but my credit card would be credited.

(More customer reviews)We bought this specifically because it has a long battery life. We bought this (for our 2 year old) to take on an overseas (10 hour) flight home for Christmas. While the description says the battery lasts 10 hours, reading the manual you will see that it lasts 10 hours when the LCD screen is on (-5) (lowest), 7-8 hours on (0), and 5 hours on (+5) (brightest). We found that the 0 setting was plenty light for the plane rides, and we had no issues with battery length. We watched a total of 4 movies on the plane, and had no issue with the battery. We had the volume up (as our son is not fond of headphones)and we could hear clearly over all the noise on the plane. People were even asking us to turn the volume down! It was wonderful to keep us and our little one occupied on such a long flight! On the plane ride home, my husband and I watched a movie together with the headphones, thanks to the dual headphone jacks.
I LOVE that this DVD player comes with AC adapter, and we used this to watch a movie at the airport while waiting for our connection. We also used it to re-charge the battery to full while waiting for our connection. The power is dual voltage which makes it a plus if you are traveling or living overseas. You can play a movie right out of the box using the AC adapter.
The thing I like most is that no matter what angle you look at the screen, you can still see the picture clearly. Also the screen pivots, making for easy viewing at any angle. We used the cables to plug it into a TV and the picture/sound was great here as well. We also used it in the car, and the car adapter meant that we did not have to fuss with the battery. The screen is bright and big, and picture is clear and sharp.
I was hesitant to buy this product, because we have had a lot of trouble with our Panasonic DVD camcorder. This was the DVD player with the longest battery life I could find, and it is well worth the price. This product has gotten a lot of use in the last month, and no problems. I would recommend this to anyone! It is a great player and has exceeded my expectations. I am so happy with this purchase!

Just be aware that this cable is 1 foot long- which is EXACTLY what I needed to go between my netbook & cMoyBB headphone amplifier during flights.
Actually, finding a quality short cable is hard to find, so this one fit perfectly! It looks like a high end cable (I do not wish to disassemble it to find out). It worked very well for me. There is nothing to complain about.

(More customer reviews)This is a great receiver. There are some others out there that are smaller but aren't as easy to use and don't have the clear text that the Audiovox has. I looked at the XACT and the Star Dock before buying this unit. The other units didn't have direct track access (they only have preset buttons 1-6) so imagine scrolling through 120+ channels to get the one you want. There are 10 buttons to select from on the Audiovox. The can be used for presets or for direct channel access (just press the dial first). The Audiovox also has a bigger screen with four lines of text.
I also really like the quality of the Sirius service. I've listened to XM before and the quality just isn't as good. Being able to listen to my school's college football games is a great bonus.

XtremeMac MicroFlex Car Charger for iPod nano 1G (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the extrememac charger as I had heard good things about the quality of their products, I was sadly misinformed. The principle of the item is well thought out and if build quality could match concept they would have an excellent piece of kit. I found the whip to be loose and over a short period of time had dropped to below the horizontal no matter what angle it started, the nano would disconnect if a bump was incountered and the real killer for this item was as I removed it from my 12 volt socket for the first time the end of the 'plastic' socket snapped off with internal spring and fuse flying across the car. Over all I was very disappointed, the cost of the charger does not reflect the build quality, if you are tossing up between this and another product go the other brand, or just get the car charger cable. I found the air play transmitter work well when it wasn't moving around in the shoddy charger. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

After receiving the XMp3i for my birthday, I ordered the car kit so I could enjoy satellite radio in my vehicle (2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer). The cable for the antenna is nice and long, so you can run it from your dash, all the way to the top/rear of the car, with a little leftover. All of the cables plug into the dock, so you can remove your XMp3i and hide it or take it with you without any hassle. It comes with a remote control, which I thought was silly at first, but after using it, I realized that it's much easier to use the remote when driving, than to use the buttons on the player. As long as you position the antenna like the instructions describe, the reception is just as good as a factory installed XM radio (I've had both).
It comes with two mounting methods (dashboard mount or clips for your air conditioning vent). If you use the adhesive dashboard mount, make sure you know exactly where you want it, since it only comes supplied with a single adhesive strip. Otherwise, you'll have to go buy some of those super-adhesive foam strips made by 3M. Certainly not a deal-killer, but a little annoying.
Overall, the car kit from XM was easy to install. Now I can listen to satellite radio on those long road trips! Hooray!
