(More customer reviews)After weeks of reading independent reviews, discussing various bluetooth items with my friends and searching for just the right bluetooth car kit I decided on the Jabra SP710, Cruiser. I ordered it on Amazon from a company called ccmaccessories. Delivery was quick, directions for use were clear and I attached it to my visor and couldn't wait to use it.
The first problem occurred when my brother said he couldn't understand me, since he could only hear every 3rd word and that word echoed a few times in his ear. Thinking I was in a bad signal area, I pulled my car over to turn off the Jabra and use my cell phone (Oregon has a new law banning the use of cell phones, you have to use a hands-free device). I noticed the phone had full bars, signifying that I was in a good area for excellent cell coverage. I called my brother back and it was so clear he thought I had gotten home and was using a land line. It wasn't the signal at all it was the Jabra. I thought maybe it was a faulty speaker, so I contacted the company and awaited their reply.
Since the Jabra SP710 Cruiser allows you to go through an empty FM frequency on your car radio I decided to try that. I had better luck with that feature, for talking on my cell phone, but now I couldn't listen to regular FM radio stations, use a CD or my Satellite radio. I tried to make the best of it, downloading songs onto my Blackberry 8330, but more problems cropped up. The Jabra has a lot of features, buttons to skip to the next track, or jump back to hear a song again. The buttons didn't work. To top it all off, now the start and end call features didn't work either.
I was lucky CCMACCESSORIES responded to my request with instructions on how to return my Jabra. I was out the shipping charges (both ways) but my credit card would be credited.

(More customer reviews)Saw the reviews here - many are just plain incorrect, very likely they did not bother to read the manual, which as the quickstart guide says 'the full version is online at jabra'.
A few examples:
Voice dialing: If your phone has this capability - you can voice dial no problem: Record the voiceprint for a number (via your phones feature), preferably while using the speakerphone so its better matched, then to use it 'press' - hold button for approx 1sec - (as opposed to tap, which is means 'quick click") the main answer button then say name - works fine, even with an old moto razr phone.
Power: Again, RTM - to save power (a great feature), the speakerphone sleeps after 10 minutes: To wake up, rather than cycle the less handy power switch, simply tap the main answer button
Bright lights: There is a way to go into night mode: "Press FM and volume up button simultaneously when the speakerphone is on. The light will then turn off. You can turn the lights back on with another press."
C'mon folks, take the two minutes to read the actual manual.
As for the rest - I've only had it a little while - the voice quality seems fine, the FM works great when the convertible top is down (Not often right now, even in CA) and the thing works quite well so far.
Bonus: The charger comes in two pieces so that you can use the USB to micro USB cable with your computer to charge it if you want. Conversely, I can now charge my old razr with by plugging in my USB to mini USB into its lighter adapter. Handy.

(More customer reviews)The product worked as advertised. I was able to set it up in seconds for the blue tooth option. since I don't use the FM radio in my van I did not set up the FM transmitter. I can hear other people just fine and I have not heard anyone say they can't hear me or ask me to repeat myself. Only 1 little glitch after a month of using it. It did disconnect and reconnect once but I think i passed someone else using the same frequency which caused it. The price here was 20% cheaper that Best Buy and it was delivered free. I would recommend this product to all of my friends.

Pairing the In-Car Speakerphone with Your Phone
When you turn on your Jabra CRUISER2 for the first time, the in-car speakerphone will automatically start up in pairing mode and begin to tell you what to do next
Activate Bluetooth on the phone
Press 'Yes' or 'OK' on the phone and confirm with PIN code 0000 (4 zeros)
Your phone will confirm when the pairing is complete
For later pairing: Turn your in-car speakerphone on. Press and hold the answer/end button until the Connection Status Icon light is flashing blue and the pairing instructions begins

Install It In Your Car
After you have successfully paired you phone (or phones) to your Jabra CRUISER2, use the metal clip on the back of the in-car speakerphone to attach it to your sun visor. That's all the installation needed. You are now ready to drive responsibly.
