(More customer reviews)I received this item in the mail and was extremely excited to test it out. I plugged in the FM transmitter to my iPhone and tuned it to the appropriate station and that worked. That was great, except there was some static. Now, it was time to test the remote, the only reason I bought this damn thing for. I removed the plastic blocking conduction from the battery and nothing happens. So, I thought the battery may have been placed poorly and so I double-checked it. Still nothing. I head out to Rite-Aid and buy a brand new replacement battery. Still nothing. I contacted the buyer four times. He sent three replacements without asking me to return any of them - kind of says something about the actual worth of the product. On the final one, I decided that enough was enough, I'd rather just get my refund and so I did. Awful product that seems to not have been tested at all and worst $10 ever spent.

(More customer reviews)Everything about this product works great except for one important item. First the good things:
1. The transmitter is strong and crisp
2. Works with the iPhone 3g
3. The arm is great - moves around to wherever you wish. Very sturdy.
4. You only need to insert the jack for hands free calling (only need the charger to listen to music).
Overall & originally, I was overjoyed at how well this product worked.
Now, the bad:
1. It doesn't swivel so that you can put the iPhone in landscape/coverflow mode... Not a big deal though... But what IS a big deal:
2. The unit actually "beeps" about once a minute. Sometimes you can hear it really well (listening to talk radio), and sometimes not at all (but usually you will hear at least one beep every five minutes or so). I wrote the MediaGate Tech Support, and their reply was:
"The reason for it beeping every 30 seconds or so is in order for the FM transmitter and FM radio to stay active and not in idle mode, it requires the unit to beep. This is a normal feature but unfortunately there is no way of turning this off."
I'm not sure if I am going to return this yet; but I have a feeling it could go one of two ways... Either it drives me insane, or I just start not hearing it like a grandfather clock. I'll try it for another couple days and see how I feel...

The charger doesn't seem to charge the ipod though but it's fine with me cause I have a separate charger, I just really wanted the fm transmitter which works perfectly fine.

(More customer reviews)This is my first FM Transmitter purchase and I don't really know alot about all the different kinds and different brands, but I know from reading other reviews that some sound better than others. I don't know if that is the case or not, but I got 4 compliments in one day on the sound quality from friends that have used FM Transmitters before and they all said it sounded really good and asked where I got it so apparently this is one of the better ones. Also, i guess some charge your Ipod and some don't? This one does which is really convienient! It is sooooooooo easy to use too, had mine going in like 20 seconds!! I am happy with the purchase 99%, only thing I don't like is that the cord is a bit short. Other than that, it's perfect!! Also, just thought I would throw this in there for anyone who wants to buy the Otter Box Defender Case for thier Ipod Touch...some reviews state that thier FM Transmitter would not fit with the case on, but this one fits with no problem and it snaps in place very securly so it won't wiggle out on you when you move it around. Enjoy...hope my review is helpful.
