(More customer reviews)There are other xm after-market antennas on the market, and most of them are much less expensive. I have changed out 2 of those in the past, and continuosly had problems in high traffic areas and under bridges getting pops, hissing and even interruptions in service. When I saw this one at best buy (I paid $40) I thought it was a bit excessive, but after seeing the one in the mobile audio installers car I was sold. I installed this one and sure enough, crystal clear sound! Really allowed me to enjoy my XM in an entirely new way, In fact I felt robbed that I did not have this before. Now even in crowded areas and going under a bridge I have full bars, in a tunnel today I lost connection, but the second I saw light, I had it back. You can even feel the better quality of this chord, being a thicker rubber that really feels substantial. Anyone who is really serious about the XM unit or who is an audiophile, it's worth a pick-up.

Pyle FM Modulator For Mobile DVD's - PLMD2 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought one of theses hoping to add the ability to listen to my mp3 player on my older clarion stereo, Well it does work but I have to crank up the volume on the mp3 player almost all of the way and also crank the stereo up very high and even after messing with various EQ settings the sound is horrible, Ear splitting highs and no lows at all.
I almost blew my out speakers and had a heart attack since I had forgotten the stereo was turned up almost all of the way when I switched the source to cd.

Delphi SA10081 XM Universal Audio Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)We got our Delphi Sky-Fi unit over a year ago and intended to use it primarily in the car. Fortunately the car had come equipped with AM-FM radio with a CD & cassette player so we were able to use the Delphi radio + cassette adapter to recieve XM radio without having to buy an all new combo radio.

The cassette adapter got the XM signal to the radio, kind of, but it was too bassy and voices weren't as clear as we would have liked. But the big problem was that some XM stations, like FOX, make a lot of swooshing and whooshing between segments that are WAY LOUDER than the normal broadcast and their "radio only" commercials are much louder than the normal broadcast and you'd have to be messing with the volumn control all the time.

This little "Roadie" FM modulator is a great solution to the problems we had. With the XM signals going into the car radio now as an FM radio signal the radio's auto volumn control circuitry manages the noisey volumn blasts nicely without making things sound flat.

Music and speech are much better than before and there is one less wire to try to hide. We like this unit a lot but there is one drawback. Ours whistles for a few seconds until we back out of the garage and the radio finds the satallite.

Audiovox XM XMFM1 FM Direct Adapter (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)If you are installing an XM radio in your car and thinking about utilizing the XM radio's ability to broadcast music to a specific channel on your car stereo - FORGET ABOUT IT!!! Just assume you will NOT be doing it that way, and buy one of these instead. This unit doesn't require any external power hookup, won't require you to string thin fragile wires from the front of your car to the back, is fairly small and easy to install, and sends wonderful, static-free sound to your car stereo. On your XM radio, you will still have to select a specific FM channel for reception of XM music, but you won't get any static even if you select a strong local FM channel. And, if you turn your XM radio off, you will be able listen to the FM channel normally. The FM channel is only blocked out when the XM radio is turned on. Check to see if your car stereo has a non-standard antenna input that will require inexpensive adapters. My car, which has a Blaupunkt radio, required "Volkswagen style" adapters. All these do is change the shape of the plugs that connect to the car radio and antenna. Note that I say "adapters" (plural) because, if you DO have a non-standard antenna input, you will need 2 adapters: 1 to mate the Audivox plug to your non-standard car stereo antenna input, and another to mate the antenna wire that used to plug into your car stereo but now needs to plug into the Audiovox adapter. The Audiovox unit goes between your car stereo and the end of your existing antenna wire. So, you will need a standard-to-nonstandard adapter + a nonstandard-to-standard adapter.

Sirius XM Wireless FM Transmitter Modulator and Power Supply Review

(More customer reviews)This FM transmitter worked exactly as described in the ADs. I've seen other FM transmitters that said they worked great, but, the reviews told a different story. I hooked this up to my XM Express in my 2000 Accord, which has no cassette player. I didn't want to get inside the dash to hook up a cable. I turned everything on, found an open FM channel and heard crystal clear music. No noise, no dropping out, no hassle.
I do suggest setting up all three channels in case you drive into an area where a station overrides your transmitter. I drive 35 miles each way to work and have not had to change the channel yet. Of course, I don't live in a metropolitan area either.
It will also connect to your iPod or other MP music player. Although the sound isn't quite as clear because it's using the headphone jack for a signal. There is a model designed specifically for MP3 players.
I bought this on Amazon for $39 and is well worth the money.
