(More customer reviews)I got my Starmate Replay about a month ago. Since then, I only listen to "normal" radio when Howard Stern is on in the mornings. After that, it's Sirius all day long. Come January, I'll be saying goodbye to terrestrial radio.
The good:
The size of the unit makes it a breeze to install. I originally mounted it on my dash in front of my steering wheel where I could see it and access it easily. I used velcro for that install, but it didn't work out as nicely as I wanted. I solved that problem with a vehicle specific dash mount from Crutchfield. Best $35 I spent. The unit is now mounted just to the right of the factory radio and is out of the way, yet still very accessible. The remote is a good size without being too small. The buttons are well placed and it works good without having to point it directly at the unit. That said, I rarely use it. The unit is well within easy reach without taking my eyes off the road.
Bad:
I dont really have anything "bad" to say. The unit does get warm, but that seems to be an industry wide side effect. I keep the brightness and contrast at a minimum and that seems to keep the unit a tad cooler. I do not have a fear that the unit will overheat. It just doesn't get that hot.
Overall I'm very satisfied with this unit. So much so that I just bought another one as a gift.

(More customer reviews)I am baffled by the negative reviews for this thing. My kids got these today for Christmas and so far, they are great! I loaded almost 250 songs in about 5 minutes. It's possible that if you have trouble loading music into this thing, you just don't know how to use your computers file system. You can drag and drop from anywhere you keep your music on your computer or use windows media player to sync it perfectly. The file system is similar to an ipod. You can select from artist, album and song. Great sound. The 1GB is not expandable but for an 8 and 10 yr. old 300 songs is plenty. It's about the size of a Bic lighter. It doesn't have any sort of clip and the software it comes with is not that great but you really don't need it anyway because it's easy enough to drag and drop as i've already mentioned. If your getting this for jogging or the gym or for kids or even audio books, this thing will work fine.

XTR8 Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver and Car Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this product since December 22, 2005. My use typically involves keeping it in my car, and then moving it into my office, and so on. In about March of this year, the radio began to intermittently shut off when I hit bumps or stopped suddenly. I would have to jiggle the power cord (which fits into jack on the side of the radio) in order to make it work. This power outage began to occur more and more often, and then began to become problematic even while the radio was just sitting on the shelf in my office. Calls to Sirius and then to Xact proved frustrating. Xact had unreasonable demands in order to provide warranty service, and didn't offer much help. They were reluctant and, in fact refused to give me the address of the main office of Xact, as I had wished to inform Xact's president of their shoddy service. In any event, as of yesterday, the radio died completely...no power cord jiggling miracle! I can either buy a new radio or send it to them and wait for them to take their time to return it. I am choosing to buy another radio.
While this radio functioned quite nicely at first, it is not reliable, as you can tell from this and the other reviews...terrible customer service from the company exacorbates the situation. Stay away from Xact...

(More customer reviews)I have spent a fortune on finding an ideal MP3 Player, while some met my requirements, almost all failed at two basic things...
Have to carry cables for transfer songs or charging : This is a very basic flaw in a lot of MP3 Players, you need to carry a cable for charging / loading songs / podcasts... and that is very inconvenient when you need it because you end up searching, untangling in vain most of the times.
Ability to browse the songs as I loaded them, and not in some preset sorting like by album / by genre etc. I have gone through a pain staking process of organizing my music into different categories (Gym, Podcasts for learning etc) and getting to my choice of song / item becomes too difficult. Archos had this feature all along.
While this player scores big on these two items. it has a lot of features already advertised which are very useful as well.

(More customer reviews)I have the Advanced Car Mount System FM Transmitter & Charger for about 2 weeks now. The first days, I loved it, it was doing everything as advertised. What I did not realize is the it is one solid piece, I was expecting that a loose wire between the cigarette lighter adapter and the cradle, it is actually the back bone of the system which makes the cradle standing by itself. The cradle is not attached to car by anything.
It it true that electronic is working perfectly however the weight of the phone is really the enemy, the little rubbers around the socket which goes inside the cigarette lighter have given up with the weight of the phone. So now, when I am turning the car the all apparatus is turning with the car and the entire stuff falls on the floor.
So, until this design defect is fixed, I would not recommend it expect if you have a very light phone not a EVO like me.
